How do we get furniture to families in need?

People Donate Furniture To Happy Home Furniture Bank

Individuals, businesses, churches, community groups (you name it!) all donate furniture & household items to help make a house a home for their neighbors in need. Learn more about what we accept and schedule a furniture donation pick up

We Purchase Beds When Needed

We are committed to making sure that every child we serve has a bed to sleep on, so when donations of gently used beds don’t keep up with demand, we purchase NEW beds from your generous cash donations. Make a financial donation today.

Volunteers Sort/Pack Household Donations For Delivery

We wouldn’t exist without the volunteers who show up and roll up their sleeves each month to make sure we can fill orders. Learn more about how to sign up to volunteer in our warehouse with your family, friends, or co-workers.

Agencies Request Furniture For Qualified Individuals Receiving Supportive Services

Each family can request up to 15 pieces of furniture PLUS any housewares they need including pots, pans, dishes, small kitchen appliances, linens and wish list items like a vacuum, microwave, or other need.  If we’ve GOT IT we GIVE IT!  Learn more about our Partner Agencies.

We Deliver Furniture & Pick Up Donations 4 Days A Week.

Our truck and distribution team are on the road Monday – Thursday delivering furnishings to the homes of neighbors in need and picking up donations from those who have some to spare.  Learn more about what we accept and schedule a furniture donation pick up

Why A Furniture Bank?
It Takes A Village!

Furniture banks give furniture to families in need through partnership with social service agencies providing direct client-facing services. This approach helps verify need, limits unnecessary duplication of services, reduces administrative expenses, and works collaboratively to solve a basic human need at the community level for individuals, children, and families overcoming homelessness, poverty, domestic abuse, and other devastating circumstances.

Families are 3 times more likely to return to homelessness if not provided with basic and essential furnishings like a bed to sleep on…..a table to eat at….a sofa to gather.  An individual or a family moving into a completely vacant apartment is not likely to want to stay there when they have nothing.  New Life Furniture Bank’s mission is to provide this “missing piece” to end the cycle of homelessness.
